could you imagine what would have happened if damas knew that jak was mar though

i mean imagine you having a kid

the kid is like five, six, seven, eight

he's been missing for a while and then as you're giving up hope suddenly you find this buff hardened eighteen-year-old and you like him because he's not dead weight right? you kinda think you guys got a bit of a connection so you go ahead and take him under your wing

and then you find out he's your kid

your kid is supposed to be like, seven

and your kid is eighteen

i mean man that scene was heartbreaking but i wonder how damas would've felt if he'd actually known because chances are, he'd probably be really upset for missing 11 years of his probable only family member's life

duuuuuude

I think he might have been disappointed to miss it, but in no way would he be disappointed in the man Jak became. It's obvious he saw Jak as a son even without knowing he was his actual son. But honestly, I don't think he would have believed it even if he had been told. He's kind of a simple man, he don't have time for this time travel crap.

i don't think he would have been disappointed in jak, either. but i don't think he was too simple to believe it, had he been told. i mean even though they're in the wasteland, he's the king. he has people going into haven. and he has to fighter metalheads and marauders and darkmakers on a somewhat regular basis, not to mention maneuver and make use of various things from haven city involving complicated parts and pieces. i think time travel wouldn't have been too hard for him to figure out. i just think he would've felt a bit of a schock simply because i mean, you know how parents are with their little ones. they cannot imagine them as their big ones yet, and even when they're big, they still see their little ones. i think damas, had he been under the right circumstances, would have been shocked, and then happy, and then maybe would've done something to make sure jak grew up into exactly who he was (but he couldn't because that's what samos and jak had already done in the second game). u feel me

Okay, I understand what you mean. But like, for the most part in this universe, I think time travel is a pretty unknown concept. It happens a lot to Jak, yeah, but it doesn't seem like it's a widely accepted idea that is in any way possible for most of the residents. So maybe he would be able to accept it, but since it's so alien in this world, I do feel like he'd have trouble accepting it, at least at first.

true, i don't think most of the other citizens would be able to understand the idea but i personally just feel like damas would. i mean, it started because of technology in the past that was made in the future? kinda of strange to think about but i mean urrybody had the technology/capability at some point so i don't think it's too awful. but yeah totes at first i think he'd be like lol what no go back to the arena

Fair enough, since the whole point of that game was that Jak traveled to the future and then the extreme past to invent every piece of technology ever made apparently so like...maybe I'm underestimating their capabilities here.

I love Damas. I cried so much when he died. Even before they revealed that Jak was his son. When I figured out he was cannon fodder, I just bawled.

They really did a good job making us care about Damas. Normally they don't do that. We don't really get much character development and such from games but Jak 3 really did it. I loved Damas^^.
